—  Men’s Health  —

The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak

Erectile dysfunction (ED) is a common problem affecting middle age and older men, particularly following urological surgery. Justine works closely with her urological colleagues help you achieve an optimal outcome.

General health and psychological support
Cardiovascular health plays an important role in ED, as an adequate arterial supply is required for a vigorous erection. Justine will work with you, your general practitioner, or any other relevant specialists to optimise your cardiovascular health and to exclude other contributing pathologies.
In many men, there is a psychological barrier to achieving optimal performance in bed. Justine will help you find other specialists in this area if this is a problem for you.

Pharmacological management
Most men with ED do very well on pharmacological management. Oral therapy with PDE5 (viagra, cialis) is usually the first line therapy, and Justine will help you get the most out of your pills.
For those who do not respond to pills or those with recent urological operations, intracavernosal injections can be considered both for performance and for penile rehabiliation.
Penile pumps can be used in selected cases to augment the effect of pharmacological management.

Penile implants
Penile implants carry a very high satisfaction rate, and is the treatment of choice for men who do not achieve a satisfactory level of performance from pharmacological management.
In collaboration with attending urologists, Justine will discuss with you the various implants available (not always the longer the better!), the benefits and risks of surgery, and answer any questions.
